Here's how to do it, complete with photos and funny commentary. I'm about to try this for the first time on a $3 sweater from ARC with gorgeous brick red flecked wool...

Next Meeting!

Come hang with the Friday Night Knitting Club and get some well-deserved time for yourself after the first week of school. No knitting experience required! I know lots of people are eager to catch up and get plugged back into the social scene after a busy summer off.

******* Friday August 21, 7 p.m. at Susi Braun's home. Please send a quick rsvp so she knows how many to expect! *******

Want to knit a dishcloth?

Holy cow - this site should be called All Dishcloths, All the Time:

www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/dishcloths.php

I might start a collection! They make sweet washcloths for babies. And preschoolers :)

1st Meeting Pictures

Nani, Tiffiny, Susi, and Bonnie knitting away!
Bonnie, Laura, Monica and Jennifer... Look at the concentration on everyone's faces. :)

We came, we knitted, we all had fun.
Here a couple pics of everyone as we got started. Some are learning, some are knitting and we all learned something.
I meant to take more pictures, but was just having to much fun knitting and enjoying everyone's company. Can't wait for the next Friday Night Knitting Club (FNKC.)

2/6/09 Meeting Details

Our next meeting will be Feb. 6 at Laura Ayotte's home, 7 p.m. Bring some yarn and some knitting needles, or whatever project you'd like to work on.

If you'd like to bring a snack to share, please post a comment below.

If you need a new project and have lots of yarn to spare, here is a pattern that I found on the Lion Brand Yarn website . They call it the Triple Play Scarf, but I think would be more accurately named The World's Largest Scarf...come on people, let's get real here.
